Michael Blackson brings the humor to every aspect of life.
In fact, the Next Friday star revealed that being able to share a laugh with fiancée Rada Darling is the key to their long-lasting relationship.
"No expectations," Michael exclusively told E! News' Francesca Amiker on the red carpet at the 2024 BET Awards June 30, "just having fun." (You can see more stars who showed out for the 2024 BET Awards here.)
And Rada—real name Rada Cheang—seconded the sentiment, emphasizing that the couple, who got engaged in July 2021, take it one day at a time.
"The secret is just having fun, smiling, laughing enjoying each other when we have those moments together," the Couples Retreat alum told E!, "and not thinking about anything else."
Michael and Rada have applied that mentality to wedding planning too. After all, the comedian—who is father to sons Michael Jr., 26, and twins Niko and Noah, 17, from past relationships—previously shared that they were in no rush to tie the knot.
"I just felt like I needed to get things in place before I make this big step," Michael explained during an August 2023 interview with VLAD TV. "Sometimes you need more time. You want to be really, really, set with everything before you make that step."
He added," You know how many divorces we see?"
As for what else is causing him anxiety? As Michael explained, "I wanted to set a date, but then it's like I got so overwhelmed with so much other things [that] has to do with my career."
